The Land Hotel de Weimar

The Weimar Land Hotel, judged to be one of 'Mecklenburg Vorpommen's nicest privately controlled hotels and restaurants' ('Der Feinschmecker' 2010) offers you some of the best conference facilities in the region. In this year we celebrated our 200th year saint´s day.

It was in 1773 that Master Builder Bush first built our Hotel, in one of the most luxurious estate houses of the time. Back then, our building served the Grand Duke Freidrich Franz I as a Ludwigslust guest house for travellers to his court. In 1810, his heir Fredrich Ludwig dedicated the guesthouse to his second wife Mrs. Caroline Louise, who came from Weimar, a town in Saxony.

'De Weimar' quickly became known as the place to indulge both mind and palate. Diarists wrote that especially during the autumn, as the prince went on numerous court hunts, the tables groaned under the plentiful offerings and nearly reached the palace drive.
